Campus Visit Award

This year Saint Martin's is introducing a Campus Visit Award. This $400 non-renewable award will be given out to any student that attends a Spirit Day or a formalized campus visit between July 1, 2014 and February 15, 2015, and ultimately applies, is admitted and enrolls at Saint Martin’s University.

Open House Programs

Saint Martin’s University offers two open house style programs over the course of the academic year: Spirit Days and Spirit Friday. Spirit Days are held over the weekend, and afford prospective students and families an exciting overview of all areas of life at Saint Martin’s. Spirit Friday focuses on the academic experience at Saint Martin’s University and features a classroom visit for students, in addition to academic college breakout sessions.

What are Spirit Days?

Spirit Days offer the exciting opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the Saint Martin’s University community. You will be able to interact with our world-class professors, explore our academic and athletic facilities, visit our residence halls, and have all of your questions about the admissions and financial aid processes answered.

Tentative Spirit Day schedule

10 a.m. Optional tour with Mass
11 a.m. Optional tour without Mass
11 a.m. Optional Mass at the Saint Martin's Abbey
12 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Complimentary lunch and program (See below for program details!)

What's in the Spirit Day program?

The program for Spirit Day includes:

  • Catered lunch with faculty, current students, campus life, residence life, and more.
  • Admissions and financial aid presentations.
  • Question and answer session with admissions and financial aid staff.
  • A chance to connect with current SMU students and ask them questions about their experience.
  • Departmental fair including academic colleges, student services, organizations and resources.

What is Spirit Friday?

Spirit Friday offers a unique opportunity for you to experience hands-on life at Saint Martin's University—during a regular school day! You will be able to interact with our world-class professors, explore our academic and athletic facilities, attend class alongside current students, visit our residence halls, and have all of your questions about the academic offerings at Saint Martin’s answered.

Join us for Spirit Friday and discover what it feels like to be a Saint for a day!

9 a.m. Check-In
9:20 a.m. Official welcome
10 a.m. Students: Sit in on a class.
Families: Info session and panel
11:00 a.m. Complimentary lunch
11:40 a.m. Departmental fair
12:15 p.m. Breakout presentations by academic colleges
1:00 p.m. Official closing
1:10 p.m. Optional campus tour

The program for Spirit Friday includes:

  • Catered lunch with faculty, current students, campus life, residence life, and more.
  • Breakout sessions featuring the College of Arts and Sciences, the Hal & Inge Marcus School of Engineering, the College of Education and Counseling Psychology, and the School of Business.
  • The opportunity for students to experience SMU’s world-class education by sitting in on a class.
  • Family session featuring admissions and financial aid.
