Saint Martin's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
"The mission of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the
total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting
student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image."
What is the SAAC?
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of
student-athletes from each of the 13 intercollegiate athletic teams at
Saint Martin's University. They are assembled to provide insight on the
student-athlete experience and to offer input on the rules, regulations
and polices that affect student-athletes' lives at Saint Martin's
University. The committee also provides an opportunity for
student-athletes to participate in community service activities.
What is the Purpose of the SAAC?
The SAAC maintains communication between the student-athletes and the
athletic administration to better the lives and advance the interest of
all student-athletes.
What is an example of a SAAC event?
During the basketball season, the committee sponsored
several "Hoopshoots" to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It
has been a huge success as the committee raised over
$500. Look for more opportunities to participate next season!
