Results from NCAA ll West Regional (Bellingham, WA)

November 5, 2001

Men finished 11th (out of 18)
Nathan Carlson was the top Saints finisher, completing the 10,000-meter course in 33:47. Chris Carpenter 68th , Zac Vawter 72nd, Andy Prentice 75th, Matt Gage 96th, and Tyson Magney 113th, Carlos Gonzalez 116th.

Women finished 19th (out of 21)
Emily Thomas finished the 6,000-meter course in 24:26 placing 68th overall. Ann McCannick 72nd, Jennifer Houk 108th, Becky Dalrymple 121st, Amber Sommer 134th.

Saints place ten on all-academic team
In traditional fashion, the Saint Martin’s cross country teams placed ten individuals on the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team. Leading the way for the Saints again is junior Emily Thomas with a 3.99 cumulative grade point average. To be selected for the team, student-athletes must be in their second competitive season at their institution, and have a cumulative grade point average above 3.20.
