Prentice sets school record and Obluck named Freshman-of-the-Year at GNAC Championships

The GNAC Cross Country Championships took place last Saturday in Monmouth, Oregon.  The men placed 5th and the women placed 10th in a day that featured a new school record and All-Conference honors for the Saints.  Andy Prentice (Jr.) finished 3rd, a mere 4.5 seconds off the first place pace, to earn All-Conference honors.  His 25:03 time for an 8000 meter (4.97 miles) race is a new school record.  Tris Obluck was 10th overall with a time of 25:34.  Obluck was the fastest GNAC freshman and was also selected All-Conference.  The men continue to be ranked 9th in the NCAA Division II West Region which includes over 30 cross country programs.  Coach Brad Hooper commented, "My teams raced especially well.  It was a great day for the program!"
