On Friday Saint Martin's won a dual meet with Evergreen State, defeating the Geoduck men 19-42 as Andy Prentice led the Saints, finishing second overall on the 5,000 meter layout in a time of 15:28. The Saints also won the women's dual, placing five runners among the top six led by Janelle Probst's first-place finish of 19:30 on the five kilometer course.
Probst's effort marked her second victory and second course record in her first two collegiate races. Prentice's mark was a personal best on the Saint Martin's 5k course. Overall, 11 Saints runners broke personal best marks in what Coach Brad Hooper described as "an awesome display of teamwork."
The Saints travel to South Bend, Indiana this Friday to compete in the Catholic College Championships hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
