Probst top GNAC runner as Saints compete at Willamette Invite October 4, 2004 Saint Martin's Men's team placed 16th and the women placed 18th in the Willamette Invitational cross country meet Saturday at Salem. The huge event drew a total of 928 runners and 97 teams, including 532 runners (261 men and 271 women) and 59 teams in the college division race. Saints Freshman, Janelle Probst had the best individual finish by a GNAC runner in the women's 5000 meter race, placing 57th at 19:00.01. Jessie Dunnam's mark of 19:38.57 placed 97th. Andy Prentice led the Saints men, racing the 8000 meter course in 26:10.07 for 72nd. Chico State, the No. 1 ranked team in both the men's and women's regional poll, raced to easy team victories in both divisions. The Saints return to the South Sound next week to take part in the Evergreen Invite in Olympia.
