Men and Women take second at Evergreen Invite October 11, 2004 Saint Martin's finished behind Simon Fraser in both the men's and women's team titles Saturday in the Evergreen Invitational cross country meet in Olympia. Andy Prentice placed third in the men's division in a time of 25:59 on the 8,000 meter course to lead the Saints. Noe Castellon recorded a time of 26:25 to finish sixth while Brent Christensen finished tenth at 26:56. In the women's division, Janelle Probst placed 10th in a time of 19:14 on the 5,000 meter course. Ann McCanick was the next Saint to cross the line, placing 15th with a time of 19:58. Despite the strong showing, the Saint Martin's men slipped to sixth in the latest regional poll that features five GNAC rivals in the top-10. Their previous ranking at fifth is the highest in school history. The Saints will take next weekend off as they prepare for the conference meet hosted by Humboldt State on October 23rd.
