Cross Country: Women’s team earns academic honors

The Saint Martin’s women’s cross country team was
named to the NCAA Division II All-Academic Women’s Cross Country Team as
announced today by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country
Association.
Senior chemistry and biology major Katelynn Blume,
junior Kaleigh Bishop, currently undecided, and freshman English major
Krinda Carlson all posted a perfect 4.00.
Amy Layton, a biology major, had a grade point
average of 3.87 while Taylor Shipman, who is undecided, put up a 3.57.
Education major Jessie Dunnam and biology major Chelsi Claussen had a
3.43 and 3.41 grade point average respectively. Jessica Pendon, a
biology and education major, had a 2.75.
The team as a whole posted a 3.630 grade point
average, good enough the put them eleventh in the nation.
