race and 268 in the men’s.
“John was running with a heavy cold was handed his
first defeat of the season. John and I discussed all the possibilities
of how he might feel during the race with the cold, and everything
remained in check until 400m to go where the illness took its toll and
John was passed by a fast finishing home team runner. Nobody can argue
with John's tenacity and he still ran a PR out there against the odds,”
said head coach Julie Sullivan. “Tris Obluck is also coming back to the
form that saw him finish All Conference in 2003 as a freshman and Annie
Laweryson continues to impress.”
The Saints next competition will be the Evergreen
Invite on October 6th at the Evergreen State College.
