Cross Country: Four named to Academic Team

Spokane, WA – A total of four Saint Martin’s student athletes, Krinda Carlson, Kaleigh Bishop, Jessie Dunnam, and Steven La Londe, have been named to the 2007 Great Northwest Athletic Conference cross country all-academic team.

Carlson was one of four women with perfect 4.0 GPAs. She is sophomore from Pateros, WA, and is majoring in English.

Bishop, a senior Education major from Tacoma, WA, was close behind maintaining a 3.99 grade point. Bishop was one of eight athletes to receive the honor for the third time.

Dunnam, who was named to the team for the second year, is a senior from Kelso, WA majoring in Elementary Education and maintaining a 3.53 GPA.

The Saints only honoree on the men’s side was La Londe who is a senior from Centralia, WA. He posted a 3.44 GPA while earning his degree in Business.

To be eligible for the academic team, student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 and be in at least their second year of competition at their university.
