Men’s Golf: Play postponed at Cal State Monterey Bay Invite, first round unable to be completed because of standing water

Monterey, CA --- Heavy rain and standing water forced postponement of first-day action late in the opening round of the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational Tournament on Monday at the Bayonet Golf Course.

The first round will be completed Tuesday (8 a.m.) along with the second round as the tourney was reduced from 54 to 36 holes.

This is the second time during the spring portion of its schedule that a tourney has had a round canceled. High winds forced the Cal State Bakersfield Invitational in late February to be reduced to 36 holes.
