Men’s Golf: Saints finish 10th in Arizona

Goodyear, AZ – The Saint Martin’s men’s golf team
posted a tenth place finish at the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational
which wrapped up play Tuesday at the Palm Valley Golf Club.
The Saints had a three round total of 901 after
shooting a 299 in round one, 308 in round two and 294 in round three.
Hiro Nezu led the Saints finishing tied for 21st
with a two day total of 220, just four over par. Peter Perkins ended
tied for 35th after shooting 226 while Olof Rosborg shot 229 and
finished tied for 44th.
A total of 230 for the tournament landed John
Eisentrout in a three way tie for 49th. Justin Lanman found himself tied
for 56th after shooting a 233.
Point Loma Nazarene took home first place with a
team total of 849, with Sam Cyr helping their cause, medaling with a
three round total of 206. Wayland Baptist University finished second
with an 858 while host Grand Canyon was third at 868.
The Saints will head to Seaside, CA to compete in
the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational on April 9th and 10th.
