Indoor Track and Field: Riak Sets GNAC Record in 5,000

SEATTLE, WA --- Saint Martin’s John Riak just missed the national qualifying standard on Sunday in the UW Open #2 Indoor track and field meet in Seattle at the Dempsey indoor facility.

Riak (Fr., Lacey, WA) finished second in the men's 5,000 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference-record time of 14:56.60.

The SMU men’s 4x400 relay finished second with a mark of 3:37.03.

The Saints next action comes Feb. 11-12 at the Husky Classic and UW Open No. 3.
