Track: Carlson just shy of school record
March 30,
2007
Stanford, CA – Saint Martin’s Krinda Carlson
finished just three hundredths of a second shy of breaking the school
record in the women’s 800m run Friday at the Stanford Invitational.
Carlson finished with a time of 2:20.12. It was her
fastest outdoor time so far this year and good enough to for seventh
place at the meet. The time also moved Carlson into fifth in the GNAC
rankings this season.
“She ran a good race and did very well in her first
ever big college meet,” said head coach Julie Sullivan.
Carlson and the rest of the Saints get set to take
part in the UPS Shotwell Classic on April 7th.
