March 18, 2008 Spokane, WA – Saint Martin’s center Kassie Ludeman was named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s basketball second team all-conference all-star team while Jamey Gelhar received honorable mention. Ludeman led SMU in scoring this season averaging 9.6 points per game, helping lead the Saints to just their second NCAA DII Tournament appearance. She was 7th in the GNAC in blocked shots and 17th in rebounding. “I am really happy for Kassie. She worked very hard on her game this past year and this is a tribute to that hard work,” said head coach Tim Healy. “She was certainly a major contributor towards the success we had this year.” Gelhar was third in scoring for Saint Martin’s averaging 8.3 points a game. She led the GNAC in free throw percentage at 90 percent and was sixth in three-point percentage.
