Laraisse leads Saints in stormy Monterey November 1, 2004 Saint Martin's battled wind and rain to finish 11th out of 19 at the the Golf Mart/Lady Otter Invitational hosted by California State Univeristy Monterey Bay on Monday and Tuesday. Saints sophomore Maria Laraisse shot a six-over 79 in the second round for a two-day total of 162 placing 13th in a field that included 107 golfers from all divisions. The Saints finished 6th among non-division I programs. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo earned the team victory with a score of 638 and Kiilani Matsuyoshi of the University of Hawaii carded 155 to earn individual honors. Stacie Henden's 78 on day one was the best round by the Saints in the tournament and placed her tied for fourth going in to day two where she shot 89 to finish tied at 17th. Bridgette Kennedy (T55, 182), Lisa Kurtzman (82, 196), and Heather Sankey (99, 243) also scored for the Saints as they wrapped-up the fall segment of their schedule.
