Women’s Golf: Saints ranked in DII Coaches’ Poll
March 23, 2007
Lacey, WA – The Saint Martin’s women’s golf team is
ranked 23rd in the latest Golf World/NGCA Division II Coaches’ Poll
released this week.
“This is a good accomplishment for the girls,” said
head coach Bob Grisham. “This is a group that is disciplined and
dedicated toward getting better both as individuals and as a team.”
Florida Southern remains number one in the poll,
earning five of the seven first-place votes, followed by Rollins College
in second and Lynn University in third.
The poll rankings are determined using the resources
of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA).
The Saints get ready to head to Arizona to take part
in the Grand Canyon University Invitational on March 26 and 27.
“We are looking forward to the remainder of the
spring and seeing what we are able to do. We are ready to compete in
Grand Canyon Invitational as it will provide us an opportunity to
improve our ranking within the region,” added Grisham.
