May 3, 2007 Austin, TX – Babe Prante wrapped up play on Wednesday at the NCAA DII Women’s West Regional Tournament tied for 13th overall. Prante posted an 81 on the third and final round to give her a three day total of 235, 19 over par. Prante shot a 75 in the first round of the 72 par course, and a 79 in the second round to go into the final day in ninth place. The Tarleton State University took the win thanks in large part to Shraddhanjali Singh who came in first as an individual at just one over par for the tournament. As a team Tarleton finished with a total of 923. Northeastern State finished second at 927 followed by host St. Edward’s University who shot a 930. “With Babe qualifying for the regional tournament it provided an opportunity for some invaluable experience for the future,” said head coach Bob Grisham. “She was able to see what it takes to compete at the regional and national level.”
