Women’s Soccer: Saints fall in OT

Lacey, WA – A sudden death goal in the 98th minute
by Central Washington lifted the Wildcats to a 1-0 victory over Saint
Martin’s Friday afternoon at the Regional Athletic Complex.
Kelsey Penn picked up the game winner with a header
into the open goal on an assist from Kaycie Hutchins.
The Wildcats were able to get off three shots in the
overtime period to the Saints’ one. Both teams had four shots in the
first half while Central went on a tear in the second half sending 11
shots at the SMU goal, unable to connect on any of them.
Breanna Klasen spent the entire game in the goal for
the Saints and racked up 10 saves.
The Saints will play again this Sunday, September
30th, at home against Western Washington University at 1 p.m.
