Gainful employment
Below is information regarding several of our programs including: guidance
and counseling certification only, administration certification only, added
endorsement and teacher's certification.
The information includes possible careers, normal time of program completion,
tuition, housing and fees, and placement rates for students that gain their
certification. This information is from students that completed their
certification in 2011-2012.
- Typical careers:
- Elementary, Middle and High school teachers adding an
additional endorsement to their certificate. (example of SOC
codes*: 25-3099, 25-2021, 25-2022, 25-2023, 25-2031,
25-2031, 25-2022, 25-2053, 25-2052, 25-2054)
- Normal time of Program completion:
- Average time is six months.
- Time range is three months to one year.
- Tuition and fees
- Tuition per year and for the certification as a whole
varies depending on what endorsement you are obtaining.
During 2011-2012 the average tuition for obtaining an added
endorsement was $5,640.
- Books/supplies per year: $500 - $1,000
- Campus room and board per year: optional
- Decline campus room and board: $0
- Accept campus room and board: $4,910 - $6,975,
depending on meal plan choice and single/shared
room.
- Placement rate for completers:
- 2011-2012: zero percent, one individual completed the
program and is currently seeking a position.
