What is RCIA?
RCIA is a program for those who are simply interested in
learning more about the Roman Catholic religion or who are
interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church.
RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. In
the Catholic tradition, great care is given that those who wish
to become Catholic understand the religion well beforehand. RCIA
is made up of classes and practical experiences that help its
participants better understand the Catholic tradition and
determine if it's right for them.
The Catholic Church recognizes three important moments as
marking full initiation into the Catholic faith: Baptism,
Eucharist and Confirmation. At the end of the RCIA program, all
three sacraments are offered as needed to those who decide they
want to become Catholic.
When is it?
RCIA takes place at times convenient to those interested. If
you would like to be a part of program, we can make sure you can
be there.
