American's Credit Union and Major (Retired) Richard B. (Doc) Hecker created this scholarship to assist military service members and their families who are pursuing bachelor's degrees at Saint Martin's University. Nominations for this $2,500 scholarship are due from the Saint Martin's community each August. Recipients are selected on the bases of merit, service, and the quality of the written application.

Linda served as the Director of Military Programs for eight years, and cheerfully helped every Saint Martin's student she encountered. Annual scholarship winners are selected not on academic performance alone, but on demonstrated commitment to selflessness and helping others.

Apply

Jennifer has built her professional career through teaching at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Application for this scholarship is open to all eligible undergraduate JBLM extension campus students. Military students, especially veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and those who qualify for this scholarship are encouraged to apply. Awards of $150 are made three times a year. (Please note that Jennifer is not involved in the selection process for recipients.)
