Post-baccalaureate Teacher Certification program

Term 1 Schedule (August 11 - October 6, 2008)

News and Information

  • Plan on Student Teaching?  Completed Student Teaching Applications are due in the Fort Lewis office no later than February 15th for Fall Student Teaching and no later than September 15th for Spring Student Teaching.  Students must obtain their faculty advisor's initials where indicated on the application and should contact their advisor early for an appointment to have their application signed.  An application is not considered complete if the advisor has not initialed where indicated.  We can't accept late or incomplete student teaching applications.  Applications can be found here.
  • Practicum Applications are due in the Fort Lewis or McChord AFB offices no later than the end of the first week of classes.
  • Current Fingerprints must be on file in order for students to be in a classroom for practicum, student teaching or for the certification process.  The fingerprint process can only be completed at an ESD office.  The ESD in this area is ESD #113 and it is located at 601 McPhee RD. S.W. Olympia.
  • Civilian Students attending the McChord AFB campus, please fill out the McChord Pass request.  Civilian Students must have their course registration approved by their advisor prior to submitting their pass request.  McChord Pass request can take up to two weeks. Civilian Students attending the Fort Lewis may obtain a temporary 8-week pass from the Visitor’s Center no sooner than 24 hours prior to the start of our term. Civilian students need current driver’s license, current car insurance, current car registration and current class registration in order to receive an 8 week pass from Fort Lewis. Security Procedures at either military installation are subject to change without notice.
