Graduate student resources
From recreation opportunities to academic support and career assistance,
graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of the support services
available to them.
Health and wellness
- Charninski recreation center
The Recreational Fitness Center is open seven days a week
and most holidays. It includes three multi-purpose courts, a
three-lane running track, and a 9,000-square foot fitness
center equipped with weights, cardio equipment and an
aerobics-dance studio. Free fitness classes such as Zumba
and yoga are also offered.
- Counseling and wellness center
The Counseling and Wellness Center provides free and confidential counseling services to all enrolled students.
Our professional counselors are trained and available to assist students with a wide range of issues to promote a
successful college experience. Students can receive help for any social, emotional, educational or vocational issues,
including: stress; adjustments; depression; anxiety; and relationship issues. Our Substance Abuse Prevention
Program Coordinator is available to provide outreach and education on substance abuse prevention and awareness.
- Student health center
The Student Health Center assists graduate students with a range of
health issues including colds, flu and other medical concerns for a $20
office visit fee. We also help manage chronic health problems, such as
diabetes and hypertension. We offer flu vaccines seasonally, MMR
vaccines and tuberculosis screening. We have prescription medications
available on site for between $5 and $25.
Campus activities
- Campus life
Campus life offers many outings and activities for all
students. Graduate students are welcome to attend and
participate.
- Campus ministry
Service trips, retreats, concerts and prayer services are just some
of the ways graduate students can be involved with campus ministry.
- International programs
Select study abroad options are available for some graduate
students and international and domestic graduate students are welcome to
participate in the activities sponsored by International Programs.
Academic support
- Career
center
The career center offers resume writing support, mock
interviews and maintains a list of posting for student job seekers.
Alumni are welcome to take advantage of the career center services as
well.
- Learning center
The Learning Center provides academic
learning resources to help students strengthen study skills and to encourage
the use of new learning strategies. Our free services are available to all
Saint Martin's University students.
