Areas of interest (professional / personal):
Dr. Hartman's research interests include predator-prey
interactions of marine invertebrates in benthic ecology, with an
emphasis on the intertidal zone and crustaceans. She has
conducted field work in Washington State, South Carolina and
Alaska and considers the outdoors as the true "laboratory" for
learning. She incorporates field trips and field sampling in the
courses she teaches at Saint Martin's University.
