Environment: A small office with many desks and computers. It is essentially an office job.

Major responsibilities: Within the established guidelines provides the following duties: answers telephone, drafts, edits, word-processing correspondence for director's signature, reports, meeting notices and agenda; create and maintain various spread sheets and databases; proofread materials for sentence structures, spelling, grammar and punctuation; prepare graphic presentations; organize and maintain various manuals and electronic filing systems; complete special projects as assigned and ensure that projects are in compliance with agency policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Demonstrated knowledge and abilities required:

  • Knowledge of Standard office practices; business English; personal computing and general state government opportunities
  • Help schedule events
  • Educational Summit
  • Computer knowledge and writing skills to assemble a resource director
  • Ability to maintain confident and effective relations with internal staff and constituents, the legislature, the Governor's Office and the general public
  • Must be able to work in a diverse environment
