The ESA School Counselor certification program requires 31 credit hours, 9 classes and a 5 semester-hour internship.

Three classes (MED 640, MED 648, and MED 559 require 10 observation hours in K-12 schools).

Coursework can be completed in 1 year. The internship is completed after the coursework. The 400 hour School Counseling K-12 Internship can be completed over 1
or 2 semesters.

  • MED 559: Introduction to Exceptionality (2)
  • MED 605: Diversity and Social Context in Classroom (3)
