The Student Health Center is committed to protecting the privacy of its
patient's personal and health information. Applicable federal and state
laws, including HIPAA regulations, require us to maintain the privacy of
your personal and health information. We protect your health information
by:

Treating all of your health information that we collect as
confidential.

Restricting access to your health information only to those
medical and clinical staff that need to know your health
information in order to provide our services to you.

Only disclosing your health information that is necessary for an
outside service company to perform its function on our behalf
and the company has by contract agreed to protect and maintain
the confidentiality of your health information.

Maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to
comply with federal and state regulations guarding your health

Confidentiality
The laws of confidentiality of the state of Washington cover all
medical records. There can be no discussion or transfer of a
student's medical records without the student's written consent.
This includes parents calling to inquire about a student's health.
You may ask to review your record with the physician and make
corrections.
