Position title: Bookkeeper - Temporary (full-time) with the
possibility of becoming a regular full-time position.
Position summary:
Full charge bookkeeper for a Roman Catholic men’s Benedictine monastic community. This position handles all aspects of the bookkeeping, accounting and fiscal record keeping. This position will also have opportunities to interface with the associated Saint Martin’s University and outside entities in terms of related fiscal matters. (See job description)
Minimum qualifications:
- Five years of experience as a bookkeeper
- Working knowledge of accrual basis accounting practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented with follow through ability, expediency and proficiency
- Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Non-profit experience
- Understanding of fund accounting
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred
- AIPB Certification preferred
