F.A.Q
What is included with my registration?
For the $35.00 registration fee ($30.00 for SMU students and
military), runners will receive a custom Saint Martin’s Jingle
Bell Run long sleeve race shirt, a jingle bell to tie to their
shoe, a race number, chip timer, and sponsor goodies. Children 8
years old and under are free, but will not receive these items.
Not feeling up for a full 5k? Registration includes an option to
run in the 1.5 mile fun run/walk and still enjoy the sights of
Saint Martin’s University’s campus.
Can I run with my dog?
Saint Martin's University has a NO DOG policy on campus for the
safety of their students and employees.
Is there an age limit for younger runners?
No age limits! If they can cover the 1.5 mile fun run or the 3.1
mile course, they can absolutely participate with a parent or
guardian. Children that are 8 and under will not receive a race
T-shirt unless purchased online or on race day while supplies
lasts. Please remember that as soon as they turn 9 they will
need to register and have a race bib!
Is there a time for packet-pick up for the event?
Yes, you can pick up your packet that includes your race number
and T-shirt etc. starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, December 7.
Packets will be located in the lobby of the Marcus Pavilion on
the Saint Martin’s University campus.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
At this time we ask that each runner pick up his or her own
packet. If you can't make it to pre packet pickup we will start
packet pick up at 8:30 a.m. the day of the race.
Where is Saint Martin's University and where
is the race held on campus?
Saint
Martin's University is in Lacey, Washington which is
minutes from downtown Olympia and less than an hour from
Seattle, 30 minutes from Tacoma and two hours from
Portland, Oregon. For
driving
directions use address 5300 Pacific Avenue
SE, Lacey, Washington, 98503 which will bring
you the start and finish line of the race, the Marcus
Pavilion.
Where should I park?
Runners and
spectators are asked to park in the Pavilion lots listed as N,O
and Q on the
campus
parking map. The Pavilion lots are best accessed from
Pacific Avenue. Handicap parking spaces are available in the NE
Pavilion lot or N on the campus parking map.
What is the course like?
The Saint Martin's Jingle Bell Run is 100 percent on the roads
and trails of our beautiful, wooded campus. The course, designed
by our very own cross country coach, is a two loop race, with
each loop measuring 1.55 miles. Those who would like a less
rigorous run may choose to only run one lap, whereas runners
wanting to run farther may complete the entire 5k. Enjoy seeing
carolers along the way and the Christmas tree decorated in front
of Old Main. You may even see a deer or two!
Can spectators attend the Finish Line Celebration?
Absolutely and we hope they will. The Finish Line Celebration
will take place within the warm Marcus Pavilion. Recharge after
the race with Christmas cookies and hot cider or cocoa. There
will even be an appearance from SANTA!
Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting
up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you
are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can’t
make it to race day, at least come to the check-in and pick up
your T-shirt and race bag.
