Moodle support
While many of the details on support--who to
contact for what, online quickstarts, and the like--remain to be
developed, early adopters can find assistance here:
-
Irina Gendelman: 360.486.8826
or Instructional design site
As Instructional Designer, Irina can assist faculty in using Moodle as
an enhancement to a traditional course as well as, for extensions,
building an effective online course. She can help you with the
following:
- Building your course in Moodle;
- Migrating your course from the pilot Moodle system to the
new production system;
- Understanding what options you have in Moodle and which
activities would best support your learning objectives;
- Becoming familiar with the best practices for online
discussions and other Moodle activities;
- Troubleshooting problems you encounter in building or
administering your course;
- Troubleshooting problems your students have in using Moodle,
such as failed file uploads.
-
Help Desk (ITS): 360.438.4338 (M - Th 8 - 7, F 8 - 5)
and
Reference Desk
(Library): or 360.486.8803 (hours)
At this point, Help Desk and Reference Desk staff can provide assistance
to the following kinds of issues:
- Login problems;
- Inability to open specific files.
- eThink Education will be providing ongoing technical
support for the system and for Saint Martin's support staff. They
are also developing training materials.
