ESL student teaching in China

If you are interested in doing student teaching in ESL in China in fall or spring, there are two sites (Hainan and Zhuhai) available.

Students receiving student teaching credits are required to complete the ESL endorsement program and attend the intensive Chinese and culture workshops prior to departure.

Students not receiving student teaching credits are required to take the ED 425 class (methodology for teaching foreign language) and attend the intensive Chinese and culture workshops prior to departure.

The hosting institutions will provide free airport pick-up/drop-off, room/board, and a modest monthly stipend.

Students are responsible for their roundtrip airfare, personal expenses, and any domestic travel expenses.

If you have any questions or would like to pick up/return an application for any of these programs, please visit the Office of International Programs and Development, Old Main Room 430.
