International transfer students from United States institutions

Students who are currently studying at a university inside the United States and would like to transfer their credits to Saint Martin's University to complete their studies are considered transfer students from a U.S. institution.

Saint Martin's University has scholarships available to international undergraduate students applying or transferring to Saint Martin's University. Scholarships are awarded according to the student’s grade point average and English proficiency.

Step 1:

The application and supporting documents

  • Complete and submit the online application for undergraduate studies.
  • Have official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended sent to Saint Martin's University directly from the issuing institution. In order to request for your transcripts to be sent, you will have to contact your Registrar or Transcript office.
  • Applicants that have less than 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of credit must also mail their secondary school transcripts (marks sheets), certificates, and test results. All documents must be official copies, and must be accompanied by an official English translation and, unless transferring from a sister university, applicants must have an evaluation by World Education Services (WES) or other National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) approved transcript evaluation provider that includes a credential, GPA, and course-by-course evaluation.

Step 2:

Proof of English proficiency

  • All international applicants are required to provide proof of English proficiency before being fully admitted to a graduate or undergraduate program. Applicants who do not possess the required proficiency but meet all other admission requirements may be considered for admittance into a degree program with the condition that they enroll in intensive ESL classes until proficiency is met.

How to provide proof of English proficiency
Please see the chart below for the test scores required for full admission into an undergraduate or graduate program. TOEFL score requirement may be waived on a case-by-case basis for transfer students who already hold an AA or AS degree from an American community college.

  • TOEFL or IELTS score reports must be less than two years old and must be sent directly from the testing institution to Saint Martin's University. Our school code for the TOEFL is 4674. Detailed information about how to send score reports can be found on the TOEFL or IELTS web pages.
  • Students who do not submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score report will be required to take an institutional paper-based TOEFL when they arrive at Saint Martin's University and will be placed according to their test results.
