International student scholarships

Integral to our Benedictine tradition of embracing the uniqueness of each individual is our belief in rewarding talent and achievement, be it academic, athletic, or artistic.

Most scholarships are renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) as long as specific academic standards are maintained. Most scholarships at Saint Martin's are merit-based, although certain scholarships have other specific criteria that must be met.

Students are not required to submit a separate scholarship application to be considered for most scholarships available through Saint Martin's University, except where noted.

* Scholarship amounts are for students entering for the 2013-2014 school year only and are subject to change based on availability of funds and student eligibility. In the event a student receives full Tuition Assistance through a third party, they will not be eligible for their Merit Award.

First-year and transfer scholarships

$6,000 Awarded to students with a minimum of 3.4 GPA, and who have the required English proficiency. Proof of required English proficiency is required. The scholarship is redeemable each year if a 3.2 GPA is maintained.

Students participating in our NCAA Division II athletic program may be eligible for an award. Awards are determined and offered by each coach and are done in strict compliance with NCAA regulations.

Students who have demonstrated interest and ability in music or theater arts may be eligible for a talent award ranging from $500 to $2,000.

Scholarships may be offered through various departments at Saint Martin's University. It is recommended that you contact the department related to your area of interest for additional information regarding scholarship availability and applications procedures.

Transfer student scholarships

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
$1,000 Awarded to students with a minimum of 3.5 GPA transferring with an associate's degree, and who are members of Phi Theta Kappa. Proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership is required.

Continuing student scholarships

Saint Martin's Alumni Association Scholarship
Saint Martin’s Alumni Association—an independent, non-profit organization— offers scholarships to fulltime, continuing students. Scholarships are awarded for the academic year following the year of application and are contingent on the applicant remaining fulltime. The application is distributed to all students in an email each spring. Decisions are made by committee and awards are presented at convocation. Award amounts differ from student to student. These are one-year scholarships and may be applied for each year. This award does not preclude a student from applying for any other awards.
