2013 JCET trip
Represent Saint Martin's University in Japan
The
Japan Cultural Exchange Tour (JCET) is a tradition at Saint Martin's
University. Each year, five selected students are led by selected SMU
faculty/staff to go to Japan for approximately two weeks. Participants
visit three sister schools: Mukogawa Women's University in Nishinomiya
(near Kobe), Okazaki Women's Junior College in Okazaki (near Nagoya),
and Reitaku University in Chiba (near Tokyo). Participants will stay
with two different host families and hotel accommodations are provided
in Tokyo. This is an incredible opportunity to experience Japanese home
life, meet other students and enjoy the sights and culture of Japan.
Thanks to the generous assistance of scholarships provided by the
Office of International Programs and
ASSMU, students need only to pay $1,200 and bring their own spending
money.
Applications are accepted each fall. The trip takes place in May,
following the end of final exams. Take advantage of this great
opportunity!
