International experience scholarship
By being accepted to an approved Saint Martin's University study abroad
program, students are eligible for the $1,000 SMU International
Experience Scholarship. The scholarship can be applied to study abroad
related costs such as foreign travel, tuition and/or accommodation.
In order to be considered for receiving this scholarship, students must send a
one page essay addressing the following questions to the study abroad office for
review and selection.

Experience Scholarship have on your future goals?
- What impact will your choice of country and program have on your
experience study abroad?

What initially inspired you to want to study abroad?
-
What factors left to your choice of country and program study?

How have you demonstrated leadership and community service during
your time at Saint Martin's University?
Additionally, in order to receive
the scholarship students must:

Have completed at least one year of academic work at Saint Martin's
University.

Attained a minimum of 3.0 GPA at Saint Martin's University.

Have no conduct violations.

Participate in the specified study abroad program.

Send a handwritten "thank you" note to the specified SMU Board of
Trustee donor that made your scholarship possible.

Upon your return from the program, help promote the Saint Martin's
University study abroad program thru various study abroad fairs and
presentations, or other projects.
This scholarship is made possible thanks to several Saint Martin's
University Board of Trustee members and we would like to thank them for
their continued support of the Saint Martin's study abroad program.
