Saint Martin's study tours

travel chest with books picture

Each year Saint Martin’s professors lead groups of excited and interested students around the globe for an international learning experience. Students are able to better appreciate the subject matter by experiencing it first-hand and professors make the subject matter more meaningful.

Each program provides the same quality of teaching and care that our on campus classes do. Here is a summary of our short term programs offered this year:

Signature short term programs for 2013-2014

English theatre
Students in this class will meet a dozen times during the spring semester to read and discuss the plays to be seen live in London! The class will see plays at the Globe, the National Theatre and the famed West End in London. The class will also go to Stratford-on-Avon, birthplace of Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company’s theatre. This program will include backstage tours, daily gatherings of students and faculty leaders to talk about the plays and have time to check out other English landmarks, such as St. Paul’s, Tower of London, etc. adventures in eating. Travel dates are May 12-23.

This course will explore the true France while taking into account individual needs in keeping with Saint Martin’s commitment to teaching the whole person. It takes place throughout the spring semester and summer of odd numbered years and is open to mid-level to advanced students of French. Over the course of the semester, students prepare for the trip by exploring destinations on the itinerary through books, articles, food preparation and individual presentations, as well as movies in French. From there, they travel to France to participate in discussions and daily French life- experiencing the well-known sites of Paris and the French countryside.
