Duties: Interns will help the staff in: candidate
research, organizing community events and recommendations for boards
and commission appointments. The interns will develop an understanding
of the role of policy politics and board and commissions in the
government. The responsibilities will be tailored to fit the interns’
area of expertise and/or interest. Examples of the different areas are:
health care, education, environmental preservation, jobs and economics
growth, and government accountability.
Requirements: Interns need to have computer skills
and strong analytical, writing, interpersonal and research skills. A
high degree of professionalism is required, as is the ability to work in
a high stress environment. The position is a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Applicants must also pass a background check.
