College Extension Campuses closed until further notice

Tacoma, Wash. - In accordance with the closures of the Fort Lewis Army Post and McChord Air Force Base, the Saint Martin's College Extension Campuses will be closed until further notice.

Extension students are asked to check the college Web site, www.stmartin.edu, their college e-mail or phone the information center at (360) 491-4700 for updates. There are about 700 students attending the Fort Lewis and McChord Extension Campuses.

The terrorist events taking place on the East coast will continue to be monitored by college officials, but at this time there seems to be no indication that there is any threat to this part of the country and to Saint Martin's College in particular. Therefore, the main campus in Lacey, Wash. will remain open and operating on a normal schedule. Approximately 1,000 students attend classes at the main campus.
