Lacey, Wash. - Saint Martin's senior golfer Chris Morrow has
been named to the All-American Scholar Team sponsored by Cleveland Golf
and the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Morrow, a 1999 graduate
of King's High School in Shoreline, was a member of the 1997 Knights
squad that captured the state tournament.
Chris has really turned
his game around the past couple of years and become one of the better
players in our region," Saints coach Kurt Kageler said. "I think this
award reflects his hard work and dedication to his golf game and his
studies. I'm looking forward to a great season this year for him and
our team."
Morrow, a computer
science major, will graduate this May. He had success this summer in
the Miller Amateur Championship where he took first place honors
Morrow also received second place in the Puget Sound Amateur and third
place in the Washington State Men's Amateur.
"It was definitely a
great surprise and honor to be recognized by the other coaches in our
conference and division," Morrow said.
