Lacey - Saint Martin’s faculty member Riley Moore
has been named conference chair for the 2004 Pacific Northwest Regional
Economic Conference May 19-21 in Tacoma.
The annual conference, established in 1967,
promotes research and education on the economy of the Northwestern
United States and Canada. It includes presentations of professional
papers, panels and symposiums related to regional economics and provides
an opportunity to bring economic colleagues from academia, business and
government together for discussions. The conference annually features
notable scientists and policy analysts from outside the region as guest
speakers.
Moore, a member of Saint Martin’s business and
economics faculty, teaches courses in corporate finance, investment
analysis and money and banking, among others. He is involved in the
college’s innovative exchange program with Shanghai University’s Pudong
Business College in China and has taught an intensive finance course at
that school.
Moore earned his bachelor’s degree at the
University of Washington and both his master’s and doctorate degrees at
Mississippi State University. He has served on the Saint Martin’s
faculty since 2001.
