Saint Martin’s will honor retiring college president at Homecoming celebration, Feb. 22-25

Lacey, Wash. - Saint Martin’s alumni and College
students will pay tribute to retiring college President David R.
Spangler, Ph.D., at the Saint Martin’s 2005 Homecoming celebration, Feb.
22-26 on the college campus.
Homecoming festivities will be highlighted by a
dinner, program and dance Feb. 25 at Saint Martin’s Pavilion, 5300
Pacific Ave. SE. The evening program will honor to Spangler, the
longest-serving president in Saint Martin’s history. Spangler, who came
to the college as an engineering professor in 1982 and was named the
college’s president in 1984, will retire in June. The college’s
Outstanding Student Leader of the Year Award and Saint Martin’s
Homecoming Court also will be announced during the evening festivities.
Other Homecoming highlights include Saints men’s and
women’s basketball games, a bonfire, a fun run/walk, a social for
parents of current students and several other activities.
A warm-up for the week of activities is a Feb. 19 crab
feed hosted by the Saints Booster Club.
