Spirits reign at 16th annual Capital Food and Wine Festival
Feb. 24, 2005
Lacey, Wash. –An annual rite of spring in the South
Sound area, the Capital Food and Wine Festival will be from noon to 10
p.m. March 19 at Saint Martin’s Pavilion, 5300 Pacific Ave. S.E.
Sponsored by the Saint Martin’s Alumni Association, the event raises
money for association scholarships to students attending or entering
Saint Martin's College.
Now in its 16th year, the taste-full festival has
grown larger and better than ever. This year, festival-goers can sip the
creations of more than 30 Northwest vintners, taste specialties of some
20 restaurants and food vendors and sample the frosty wares of area
microbreweries. Live entertainment will be featured throughout the day
on the festival’s two stages.
Wine festival collectors will have opportunities to
add to their collections from an array of souvenir wine glasses, shirts
and other festival mementos.
Entry tickets are $12 at the door or can be purchased
for $10 in advance at the Saint Martin’s Pavilion office, Twin County
Credit Unions, Ralph’s Thriftway and Bayview Market.
