Saint Martin’s names new sports information director
Aug. 17, 2005
Lacey, Wash. – Saint Martin’s University has named
Tiffany Darling as its new sports information director. Darling, the
university’s interim sports information director, took over the post
from Mark McGreevy, who joined the staff at University of
California-Riverside early this summer.
Darling will be responsible for coordinating Saints’
media communications, compiling and distributing sports statistics for
Saints’ conference competitions, managing the athletics portion of the
university website and producing sports guides and other athletic
publications.
“My personal goal is simple: I wish to be a part of
an institution that can excel both academically and athletically. I
strongly believe that being a member of the Saint Martin’s University
staff will put me in a position to accomplish this goal,” she said.
Saint Martin’s competes in NCAA Division II’s Great
Northwest Athletic Conference. The university currently offers men’ and
women’s basketball, golf, cross-country, track and field, women’s
softball and volleyball and men’s baseball.
Darling, a native of Fife, earned her bachelor’s
degree from Central Washington University and joined Saint Martin’s in
2004 as its assistant women’s basketball coach.
