Spirits reign at the 17th annual Capital Food and Wine Festival
Feb. 16, 2006
Lacey, Wash. – Savor some of the finest Northwest
wines and dishes at the 17th annual Capital Food and Wine Festival. The
event, from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 25, will be at Saint
Martin’s Pavilion, 5300 Pacific Ave. S.E.
Sponsored by the Saint Martin’s Alumni Association,
the event raises money for association scholarships to students
attending or entering Saint Martin's University.
The taste-full festival is larger and better than
ever. This year, festival-goers can sip the creations of more than 35
regional vintners, sample the suds of several Northwest microbreweries
and taste specialties of some 20 restaurants and food vendors, including
several new to the festival. Live entertainment will be featured
throughout the day on the festival’s two stages.
In the festival’s time-honored tradition, festival
collectors can add to their stash of collectible memorabilia from an
array of souvenir wine and beer glasses, shirts, art and other mementos.
Entry tickets are $12 at the door or can be
purchased for $10 in advance at the Saint Martin’s Pavilion office, Twin
County Credit Unions, Ralph’s Thriftway and Bayview Market.
