Saint Martin’s University slates Holiday Procession of Carols and
Candlelight Mass

Lacey, Washington—The Saint Martin’s University Chorale, in
collaboration with the Campus Ministry office, will host the annual
procession of carols and candlelight Mass starting at 5:30 p.m. Sunday,
December 3 in Saint Martin’s Old Main building, 5300 Pacific Ave. SE, in
Lacey. The public is invited to this free, family event designed to
arouse the Christmas spirit in one and all.
The Saint Martin’s Chorale and Concert Band, under the direction of
Darrell Born, will perform old and new Christmas favorites as guests
stroll though Old Main’s beautifully decorated halls. Saint Martin’s
international students will add to the spirit by presenting a variety of
food, music and holiday traditions from their native countries,
showcasing Christmas around the globe.
A candlelight Mass will be held at 6:40 p.m. in the Abbey Church and
will feature the student liturgy choir and a prelude by the Saint
Martin’s Chorale. At 8:00 p.m., luminaries will light the way back to
Old Main’s Saint Gertrude Dining Hall for the Christmas tree blessing by
Abbot Neal Roth, O.S.B.
The evening will conclude with refreshments and a performance by the
Saint Martin’s Concert Band and the American Legion Band. Please RSVP
