Pre-registration for Saint Martin’s summer session begins this week
April 8, 2010
Lacey, Washington — Pre-registration for Saint
Martin’s University’s summer session begins this week and will run
through May 17. Saint Martin’s summer session is divided into two terms:
Session I classes run from May 17-June 25; Session II classes run from
June 28-August 9. Most classes meet on the University’s Lacey campus.
The summer session curriculum is planned with the
diverse needs of the community in mind. Saint Martin’s typically offers
summer courses that reflect the regular University curriculum, as
available throughout the fall and spring semesters. During summer
session, the Saint Martin's University faculty is joined by other
professionals from outside the University community, who offer courses
in their own specific expertise. Saint Martin’s summer session offers
both undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses in
accounting, biology, business administration, chemistry, counseling,
criminal justice, education, engineering, music, psychology, religious
studies, and sociology.
“Saint Martin’s summer session is a great way for
students to take a course that they were not able to schedule during the
regular year, or to try something different,” says Les Bailey, director
of summer session. Bailey also adds that tuition rates for most
undergraduate courses are lower than in the regular school year.
Summer session is open to continuing Saint Martin’s
students as well as new students who may or may not intend to work
toward a degree or teaching certificate.
If you are a current Saint Martin’s student, you can
