events with Mario Batali!’
September 30, 2011
Lacey, Washington — On Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, the Saint
Martin’s University community will welcome celebrity chef Mario
Batali to its Lacey campus for
Meet the Chef, 3 p.m., and the
Saint Martin’s
University Gala, 5:30 p.m. Proceeds from both events support
scholarship funds for Saint Martin’s University students. (The
Gala is sold out, but tickets are still available for Meet the
Chef; for more details, contact the Office of Institutional
Advancement at 360-486-8885 or
gala@stmartin.edu). With the support of the Gala and Meet
the Chef event sponsors, Saint Martin's looks forward to an
extraordinary celebration unlike any the University has ever
hosted.
On behalf of the many students who will benefit from
scholarship funds raised by Gala and Meet the Chef, Saint
Martin’s University thanks the following sponsors:
The theme of this year’s Gala, “La
Festa di San Martino,” reflects the Italian flavor of the
event. “La Festa di San Martino” refers to the feast day of the
University’s namesake, Saint Martin of Tours, celebrated
November 11. This year’s Gala co-chairs are Dick ‘64 and Karen
Roney and Batali’s parents, Armandino ‘59 and Marilyn Batali.
For more information regarding the events, including ticket
availability for Meet the Chef, please contact the Office of
Institutional Advancement at 360-486-8885 or
